I was using Box mix till 2months back. After I read a thread on Scratch cake recipe in cc. Strated to try out new recipes. I have few favorite recipes like:
WBH banana cake
WBH freckled mocha cake
WBH orange butter cake
Mermaid bakery vanilla cake.
I would like you to share your favorite recipes. so we can all try and enjoy some good recipes. Is there any particular Book you follow..I can try recipes from that. I just strated baking scartch cake recipes...so it will be great help for new bakers like me.

You should note that that SCRATCH/BEST RECIPES thread was corrupted in the CC server crash of March 2008. All of the data is intact except the last three pages, but if you post to that thread your new message will get lost in the ethernet as is the case with all threads corrupted back during that crash. The valid content actually ends at page 26; posts after that are usually just people saying "great thread!" and although we get message notifications for new posts, they are hard to dig up due to the corrupted pages. I know that doesn't make a lot of sense for newer CCers but you'll have to trust me on that!

You can also go to http://www.epicurious.com for recipes. They have a rating system so that people who have tried the recipe can report back about how they worked, so you can avoid bad ones!

Wow, I'm on a cake high with these recipes.

I get some of my recipes from allrecipes.com, which also has a rating system with reviews explaining how some had made adjustments for a "better" version. I haven't been disappointed.
