This is a photo of my two bear pans I purchased 2 years ago from Joann's Fabrics. It says Wilton china 502-518. There is no way these are the same pans!

Any idea how much shipping from Knoxville, Tennessee to you would be? I would like to help you! I wou,d send you mine but I'm really attached to it :0) or if someone on here isn't using theirs? I will totally open any pan in a box from now on!

Thanks dixiedarlin what a kind lovely offer,icon_biggrin.gif but I am watching a few on Ebay at the moment, I'm wary of buying a new one mail order  from a uk seller so am looking at used pans from private sellers where they look like the photo you have posted ie the right thing.

I have been looking at some on ebay in the US so might try that if i can't get one here.

Once i get the correct bear it will be my last Wilton purchas for a while

I was going to make myself a Birthday cake for a change using this pan, I had my heart set on a Pandaicon_sad.gif

I totally agree re looking inside the box from now on, and if i can't look in the box I aint buying it!

I am very disappointed in Wilton, 99% of my cake products are from them. This changes my opinion of them quite a bit. Sorry about the panda plan but you can make one for fun when you finally get the right pan! If you don't have any luck getting one just let me know! :0) good luck!

This is the box that mine came in. Was at my cake supply shop today and they have the boxes like the one you have with the new feet. New pan and new box. Wilton is crazy they have changed the shape! So the pan you have isn't a fake, it's just the new version. Maybe they changed manufacturers in china and had to change the mold??

Yeah. They are crazy! That pan looks stupid and I hope wilton goes back. I have used mine for a frog, and bought it for a frog on a lily pad for my daughter's first birthday with it. Today is her 9th birthday, so I have had it for a while!

I contacted a seller of a new one from the US but they were unable to confirm if it was the new or old box. So I bought this used one yesterday. I already got a USPS international tracking number. I'm so excited. The 2 cost me less than $25 equivalent to £17 GBP ( postage was $46) but worth it to get the one i wanted. I havd been outbid on 2 in the  UK both went for £30 plus P+P

Yay! It looks brand new! Did both sizes come together?

My panda sitting on a 9" circle with bamboo all around is very popular!

Reading this thread has made me want to pull out my mother's cuddly bear pan from the 80's. I always liked that pan as a kid.
