ASounds great m4rvel!
Only tip I can give with swirling like an icecream is to literally stand directly over the cupcake and hold the bag straight 90 degrees. Bring the tip to the edge and evenly apply pressure inwards in a swirl. When you get to the middle, do a smaller swirl on top and release pressure after you push in the top slightly to create a spike.
I'm probably teaching granny to suck eggs but I thought even if it helped a little it's better than nothing!

Hi marvel! Do like the sound of that cake, which recipe do you use ?do you mind telling me?
I adapted it heavily from an old book of my grandmother's. Do you mind if I think about if? In real life I'm very protective of it and won't give it to anyone, but that doesn't seem very in the spirit of CC and particularly our lovely thread here...

I've been dry mixing again. Tomorrow I have to make: 4 x 12" square chocolate bases 24 mini Turkish delight swirl cupcakes 24 mini choc orange swirl cupcakes 36 chocolate eclairs
Getting the dry mix ready is soo half the battle all that sieving and cocoa up my nose! *coughs out cocoa*
ATiddy those are lovely and even make your manky poly block look good! Hahaha!
Seriously nice!
There lovely Tiddy well done, how is it you are good at everything.
Kuuushi could I ask for you chocolate cake recipe if you don't mind please
I'm Mary Poppins dontcha know! haha! No seriously though this is my first proper go and seeing as I am completely self taught I impressed even myself
ARoxy please don't hate my but it's a secret family recipe and if I gave it to you my nan would be over here smacking me over the head!
I'm so sorry! :(
Oh don't worry Kuuushi if I had known you used a family recipe I wouldn't have asked and I certainly wouldn't want you getting smacked in the head by your Nan lol.
Well Mary I'm self taught to and I hope one day I'm as good as you are.
My Nan used to make a lovely fruit cake, it is the only fruit cake I've ever liked, sadly she has dementia now so can't give me the recipe but if she had I don't think I would want to share it.
