Coney Island Cyclone Roller Coaster Cake
Make this roller coaster cake to look like the Coney Island Cyclone roller coaster. Given how short/small the cake really needed to be it doesn't look exactly like it but does follow the basic shape of that famous roller coaster. Nearly ran out of time but did the people very quickly in the last hour or so (they are not as elaborate as I would have liked, but are retro in a way, so I like them). Also, the photo makes the wood planks look more blue than white, but they really were white, and each was marked with wood grain and nail holes. The background was slightly off-white buttercream.

I Donated My Services For A Kids Bday Cake To A Local Charity And The Winner Wanted A Skateboard Cake For Their Son William Getting That S
I donated my services for a kids bday cake to a local charity and the winner wanted a skateboard cake for their son William. Getting that silhouette to stay like that was a challenge... I broke 3 others, in all different poses, before I go the angle, thickness and pose that finally worked. I also replaced the skateboard a few times because my initial ones were sagging too much in the middle... The final one had 3 toothpicks hidden in the horizontal deck to keep it nice and straight.

Hello Kitty
This is my 4th Hello Kitty cake like this. People seem to really like them, although I find them a bit boring. This time I used a smaller board (simply bc I ran out of the bigger boxes to fit my bigger boards this time), so the name wound up on the side of the cake instead of on the board. Client requested a pink bow this time, instead of the traditional red one. Everything is MM fondant, except the bow which is 50/50 MM fondant and gumpaste.

Tiered Pink And Purple Stars Cake
vanilla cake with chocolate ganache fill. Colors and design by the 6 year old client. Those wired stars were bending in all the wrong directions so i added those swirly things on the side of the topper to help hold them up better. Maybe the wires are too weak, or maybe I just don't really know what I'm doing? In retrospect I should have secured them into one central base probably behind the star topper. But after poking a bunch of holes in the top of the cake on both sides, this was the best fix I could come up with at the 11th hour!

Karate Cake
Cake I made for my son's 6th bday which was at a karate studio. My first fondant person (which was modeled after my son... it came out pretty darn close, right down to the 2 stripes on his yellow belt, one of which he got in class the morning of the party so I had to paint it on at the last minute!)

Stars Cake
simple little cake I made out of left overs for a friend's twin boys who were turning 2 and having a small family party at home. After seeing the cake the mom decided to invite a few friends over and we made an impromptu party that turned out to be bigger than anticipated and I was left wishing it were bigger and nicer. But everyone seemed to enjoy it nonetheless and were astounded it was made from 'scraps.' It tasted so moist and good, I'm now much less wary of making cakes more than a day or two ahead of time, if need be!

Animal Print Cake
specific request by a little girl named Sasha who was turning 5. She wanted it to have both leopard and tiger print, and she wanted it pink. She also sent me a very specific leopard pattern she wanted me to follow. I tried a version of the leopard with the centers colored pink, but decided to scrap it and start over to keep it more simple.
