Spooky Cupcakes
I stole this idea from a picture on a website called coolest-birthday-cakes.com. I modified them slightly, but pretty much stuck to what I saw in the picture. In their picture they had mummies, goblins and Frankenstein monsters, but I wanted some orange, so I did jack-o-lanterns instead of Frankenstein... anyway, enjoy! They're just chocolate cupcakes, and all decorations are in vanilla buttercream.

Redneck Wedding Cake
I made this cake for my husband;s cousin who FINALLY got married after being together for over 10 years. Everything about this cake was done according to the bride;s specifications. She wanted the cake to resemble a tree, with the largest tier on top. She wanted the tree stand and ladder (made out of gumpaste) and the four-wheeler and deer (toys), and she wanted the topper with the bride dragging the groom. She bought the topper and asked me if I would paint it - change their hair colors and paint the dude in a camo outfit (it was a black tux). Anyway, I did my best. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.... and thanks to Cake Stackers, I was able to travel down a windy, twisty, country road and then 1.5 miles of gravel road to the wedding site with the bottom and middle tiers already assembled! All I had to do when I got there was put on the top tier and add the props! Done and done! Anyway... long-winded... thanks for looking!

Little Pink And Black Cake
Made this for one of my mother-in-law;s friends. I decorated the cake to match the gift bag my mother-in-law bought to put her gift in. Cake is 5-inch round, white cake filled and frosted with buttercream and decorated with fondant. Her friend was not having a big party... so she just wanted a small cake. I made six matching cupcakes for me and my family with the leftover cake batter.

Yet Another Batch Of Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes!
I know a lot of people have done their unique renditions of this fabulous cupcake Idea, but I stole the idea specifically from jamielu23. I thought hers were just adorable with the big blob of gooey chocolate on top. I used different sprinkles, and my chocolate sauce is chocolate ganache on top of homemade buttercream. The cherries are maraschinos! These were incredible fun to make. I made them for my two-year-old daughter to take to daycare for a Grandparent;s Day party. Her grandma and great-grandma are going to surprise her today by coming to the party!

Blue Girl
Chocolate cake, filled with chocolate ganache, frosted half with buttercream, half with chocolate ganache. I tried to do a frozen buttercream transfer of an image I found online, but it would not cooperate, so I had to pipe the image on freehand. I realize it might have looked cleaner done in fondant, but this cake was for me, and I do not like to eat fondant. So there you go! I think she is lovely! Oh, and I got the idea to do a profile in silhouette from a cake that was recently in the most saved list by javajitters - so thanks for the inspiration. Your cake was super-cute!

Happy Birthday Mom
Made this one for one of my friends. She wanted to give it to her mom as a birthday present. It is a strawberry cake, 8 inch round, filled and frosted with buttercream. She loves the polka dot cakes, but hates fondant, so I did all the decorations in buttercream. I tried to smooth it out as best I could; still need to work on that.

Purple With White Bows
Just practicing my bow-making skills. They are not as easy to make as they look, I have found. Even harder to stick to the cake. This is a dummy cake that is covered with homemade fondant. All decorations are made of fondant. I like this little cake! I am going to have to make another real one soon... all this decorating is making me hungry!

Rosebuds
This is a dummy cake that I decorated because I had an idea and had to get it out! I feel like a cheater decorating a dummy cake... there are so many things you do not have to worry about when decorating a dummy that you really do when you are doing it for real. Still, it is nice to let the creative juices flow without having to bake (and then eat) the finished product. This is all fondant work. It did not turn out as well as I had hoped... good thing it is going in the trash now that I got my pictures! haha!

Fun In The Sun Water Party
I made this when my baby girl turned two over the summer. We had a water party out in the backyard - Slip-n-Slide, wading pools, sprinklers, beach balls, water balloons - it was a blast! The cake is chocolate on bottom, white on top, frosted and filled with buttercream and covered with fondant. The decals on the cake are royal icing.

Gerbera Daisy Wedding
This was my second wedding cake ever, and my first four-tier anything! I made it for a friend. This cake was almost a disaster! Let me just say it almost ended up in a heap on the table... but I think God sent his cake angels to help me that day. In the end it was a hit; everyone loved it. If I could go back and do it again, there are a lot of things I would change. I learned a lot making this cake, though. The bottom tier was chocolate, the next tier up was white, then red velvet and the top tier was chocolate, all frosted and filled with buttercream. All decorations are buttercream, except the daisies. I made them with gumpaste. The bride provided the monogram toppers. Thanks for looking!

Ladybug, Ladybug!
This cake was inspired by a dress that belongs to my 2-year-old daughter. No special occasion... just had the idea in my head and needed to get it out! Thanks for looking! The cake is chocolate, filled and frosted with buttercream and then covered and decorated entirely with fondant.

Blue And White Roses
Here is the army of blue and white roses I did for a bridal shower recently. I should have arranged them all pretty and took a picture, but I was in a hurry, so I just took the picture of them in their carryout containers and left! There is also a close-up. I usually suck at roses, but these came out pretty good... at least for me.

Engagement Ring
No special occasion... just wanted to try this. I just did some cupcakes for a bridal shower, and I wanted to do something like this, but the bride wanted blue and white roses. So I did this one for me. Got the idea from the Sprinkles Bakery website. They have the cutest, most simple, modern-looking cupcakes, and they have a wedding ring one that I just love. Of course, their cupcakes look much more perfect than mine :-)

Patriotic Inside And Out!
This is white cake that has been dyed red and blue; white buttercream frosting makes the white stripes. The cake is frosted and decorated with buttercream. This was just a fun thing I tried just this past 4th of July. I think it came out pretty neat. If I could change one thing about it now, I would make my blue layer bigger all around. Oh, well... there;s always next time!

Spring Dogwood
This was a birthday cake for my mom. She LOVES dogwood flowers and the color green! This was also my first attempt at making dogwood flowers out of gumpaste. The cake was chocolate, frosted with buttercream, and then covered with this lovely shade of green fondant. There was a smudge on my camera lens that day, which is why the top left corner of these pics is a little blurry :-(

First Wedding Cake
This was the first wedding cake I ever did. The bride was a young girl, very much a modern-day flower child. This cake was done to her specifications. The large flowers are all handmade from gumpaste; the small flowers on the sides are royal icing. The cake was fudge marble, frosted and filled with buttercream.

Green Stripes
Two-tier round cake - frosted and filled with buttercream, then covered with white fondant and decorated with green fondant stripes. The leaves on top were also made of the same green fondant, and the white rose is made of gum paste. The leaves around the bottom are buttercream. This cake took a long time to make, but was so much fun to put together, and even more fun to eat!!!
