Silver Sequins, Ruffles And Pleats Wedding Cake
Almost everything on this cake was handmade and edible, including the flowers and leaves; the bling ribbon was not edible. The ruffles and pleats were made using fondant. I've also included a picture of the sketch I made next to the cake; I like to have a picture to reference for all the cakes I make.

Made this awesome owl cake for a repeat customer's birthday... her hubby told me, "She likes owls," and that's it. So I found a picture of a super cool owl cake topper online and used that as my inspiration to make this one-of-a-kind owl cake! Everything on it was edible... even the flowers on top.

Tropical Themed Cake With Sugar Hibiscus Flowers!
My daughter helped me deliver this cake. After we set it all up she said, "It makes me want to go to the beach!" haha! Yes! The flowers and palm branches are gumpaste; all over decorating done in fondant. The tier sizes are 5" round on top, two 6" rounds stacked together and an 8" round on bottom. Probably fed about 50-ish people.

Oversized Flower - Recreated From Cake On Pinterest
My hubby's cousin found a picture of a cake on Pinterest that she loved and asked me to recreate it in different colors. I liked the flower on the Pinterest cake better, but this was a freebie, and with four other cakes that weekend, I was a bit pressed for time... LOL! Everything is edible, though, made of fondant and gumpaste.

You've Got The Sweetest Little Baby Cakes!
Four 10" square cakes, each decorated with coordinating colors and designs - tops to look like baby blocks and spell out the baby boy's name, Zayd. One cake was choc/choc ganache, white/strawberry, strawberry/lemon and choc/raspberry. Top image of course is the sketch I made originally and bottom is actual cake on display

Sleeping Baby Shower Cake
This cake was TOTALLY inspired, and darn near copied (although not as well) from a picture uploaded (that I saved to my faves) of a cake by Cakesue here on Cake Central. Hers is called "3D baby resting on a pillow," and it was uploaded in January of 2011. I have saved it and loved it and finally had a chance to try my hand at recreating it... like I said, I still like hers better, but it was fun to try. I'm most proud of my baby, though. I didn't use a mold to make it, because it was short notice and I didn't have time to order one... so I made this little baby out of gumpaste with my own fingers and a sharp stick... haha... and after about 10 tries, I got it right :-) All the other decorations are fondant. Thanks for looking!

The Little Mermaid Cake And Cupcakes
Made for a little girl's 6th birthday; cupcakes were frosted with buttercream and decorated with fondant sea creatures; cake was 3-layer 8" round chocolate cake with cookies-n-cream filling, frosted with buttercream, decorated with fondant coral and seaweed. Ariel is a doll; her legs are down inside the cake. The rock is made of cereal treats covered with fondant; her tail is also made of fondant, but it's marshmallow fondant, so it's yummy! My kids would eat that whole tail they love MMF so much! Anyway, thanks for looking!!! I had great fun making this one because I've loved The Little Mermaid ever since it came out for the first time in 1989 when I was just 9 years old!!! Oh, Flounder was also MMF :-)

Frills, Flowers And Feathers...
Okay, so I went a little nuts on the scrolls... I actually liked the cake better before I added them... nonetheless, I'm a huge fan of these ruffle flowers... so easy to make and so incredibly fun and funky!!! Thank you, Sophie Bifield, whose picture on Facebook started it all :-)

He's chocolate cake all the way through, layered with chocolate ganache filling, frosted with vanilla buttercream, covered with fondant and hand-painted with food coloring. He was about 8 inches tall and 12 inches wide.

Big Orange Flowers And Lace
Cake is covered with fondant; lace design is pale orange, so barely visible, but was done using a stencil and royal icing; flowers are made of gumpaste; cake topper monograms also made of gumpaste, and if it had been up to me, I would have left them off... I wish now I had gotten a picture without them because I liked the cake better without them... but it still turned out alright... I hope they were happy.
