This cake was for my son's 2nd birthday. When I asked, he wanted trains, planes and animals. This is what I came up with. It is an apple cake with cream cheese frosting. I had problems with the interaction between the frosting and the marshmallow fondant (which I've since learned how to fix).

This is a princess castle cake that I made for my daughter and her friend's 4th birthday. It is a 3 layer cake, with MMF. The turrets are RKT with sugar cone top. The sugar cones are covered in MMF and then used a baby spoon to make the indentions and then dusted with sparkle powder. My first attempt at a layer cake and a first attempt at fondant. The girls loved it, and so I'm happy

Wild Things cake for my son's 1st birthday. All made out of MMF. Characters were drawn on MMF and painted with gel food coloring. Really could have used a lot more time and more scenes, but I hope it gives people ideas.
This is the birthday cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. She wanted a Silvermist birthday. Everything is edible except for the Silvermist doll and the skewers that I used for the cattails. Decorations are gumpaste and fondant, stones are chocolate store bought. Flowers were made using the daisy cutters. Still learning (and I learn something new with every cake), but my daughter liked it and that's what is most important.
