Candy Cane Lane
This was a 6 tier cake covered in fondant with red fondant stripes and a white fondant snow cap on each layer. The bottom of each tier was decorated with fondant balls in either red, green, or white, candy canes in either red & white or red, green, &white, and peppermint candies. The ornaments coming off of the cake and the snowflakes are store bought.

Mermaid Mia
3 tier cake I made for my daughter's best friend. It is covered in fondant with buttercream design. It was my first time really decorating with icing so I think it turned out pretty well!! We did have a small issue with the starfish sliding and melting because of the humidity (it was around 90 degrees at 7pm for the party and it was outside). TFL!!!!

Transformers
This was a cake for a 5th birthday. He wanted Transformers and some of them battling. I had a different idea for the cake, but this is what the mom wanted. I am not overly thrilled with the cake, but the little boy and his parents were happy. Buttercream icing with fondant buildings, road, grass, etc.

Bank Card
This was a last minute cake I put together for my mother in law (who works at Citizens Bank). I literally went to the store at 8 to get what I needed, got home, put the kids to bed and started baking at 9. I finished around 12. Not my best work, but she loved it. The first 4 bank card numbers are my husband's day of birth and mine, the second 4 are both of my daughters, the third 4 are my brother-in-law and his wife's, and the final 4 are my neice and nephew's. We made her sit there until she figured it out...LOL!. TFL

Toy Story
8" and 6" round cakes. Buttercream icing and fondant accents. Inspired by cakes found here on CC. The little girl I made it for LOVES Jessie from Toy Story, but all cakes seemed to be Buddy or Woody inspired and boyish. Her mom asked me last minute to do the cake, plus another small cake for the family party, and I was so excited to do it. TFL!

Super Heros
This was a birthday cake for a little boy turning 4. He loves all super heros so I tried to incorporate a few for him. It is a marble cake with strawberry filling. Iced in buttercream. Fondant accents. Spider webs piped on with buttercream. Everything is edible except for Wolverine's claws.

Butterflies And Peace
This was a cake I made for my niece's 4th b-day. She shared her day with my daughter since their b-days are only 5 days apart. I wanted to do a half and half cake for them (half butterflies and half peace signs), but my sister and her husband didn't really like the idea. So I made the cake my niece wanted (inspired by a cake found here on CC) and added a few peace signs for my daughter. The bottom layer is choc with cookies and cream filling, top layer is yellow with strawberry filling, and it is iced in buttercream. The decorations are fondant. It turned out well seeing as how everything was done by hand....I had no cookie cutter for the butterflies, flowers or peace signs, so I cut them by hand, and i forgot my ribbon cutter so I cut the ribbon by hand, no ruler or anything so it is a little crooked, but turned out pretty well. TFL!

Monster Man
This was a cake inspired by pkinkema I found here on CC. Chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling. I used 3 9' rounds and one deep 8" round and shaved and shaped the cake. I covered it with buttercream icing. The accents are all fondant. I could not find the silly feet stand, so I made my own base and used a pair of purple clogs for the shoes. It was for a little boys 3rd birthday. I loved this cake and it was so fun to do!!!! TFL!

A Taste Of Fall
This is a square cake, iced with buttercream and the sides were covered with fondant. The petals are mostly real and some are made from fondant. I was really expecting a better selection of fall colors, but I made due with what I got and made a few yellowish/orange ones about 5 mins. before walking out the door.

Football Field
An Ohio State Buckeye cake. Iced with buttercream, but the lines of the field are fondant. The helmet is iced with buttercream, but the stamps, numbers, and most of the face mask (a few pieces are pipe cleaner) are fondant. All the letters and numbers are handcut. The field goal posts are popsicle sticks, this was one of my first cakes before I really started working with fondant.

Beachie Keen
This is a sheet cake iced and covered with fondant. All of the details are fondant, including the seashells. Got this idea from a cake on here. I am not great at writing with icing, but I don't think it turned out horrible either. Sand is crushed up graham cracker and it is held on with icing.

Cars
This was a Lightning McQueen cake I made for a friend's little boys 1st birthday. It is all buttercream work (which I have obviously not perfected smoothing). She did not want any fondant work so I had to buy a Lightning McQueen car and race flag. Turned out pretty well since I have never use icing tips for edging a cake before!!
