Here's a cake I created for a bride who was having a Winter Wonderland themed wedding. The cake is covered with MMF and the snowflakes were made using silicone molds and fondant. I'm looking forward to seeing a pic from the photographer - my camera phone just doesn't do it justice ;-)

This cake was made for an avid baseball fan who turned the big 1-6 this past weekend! The home base and the baseball cap are carved from red velvet cake. The home base is cream cheese buttercream and the cap is covered with fondant. Everything about this wedding was just gorgeous! The backdrop for the wedding - a private residence that had the look and feel of a medieval castle. The bottom tier of the cake mimicked the walls of the residence and the sugar flowers pulled in the garden theme. The cake was iced in buttercream and the stone wall was made from fondant.
I had fun making this cake for a surprise 50th birthday party. The flowers, leaves, "box" and lid are all made from fondant. Chocolate-chocolate chip cake, chocolate mousse filling, and dark chocolate ganache under a layer of MMF.
A friend came to me with pictures of cakes surrounded by chocolate pieces and topped with roses that she wanted replicated for her mom's birthday. So here's my version of the cake. The cake itself is yellow with bavarian cream filling and chocolate buttercream icing. I created white chocolate plaques and attached them to the outside of the cake with melted chocolate. The flowers on the top are fresh roses (separated from the cake with parchment paper and more icing).
This particular grad was looking for a cake that would be a unique focal point of her celebration, so we incorporated her school colors into a more elegant design (it's actually an adaptation of one of my wedding cakes that she saw and really liked). And knowing that her friends would want to snack all night long, we decided that cupcakes would be a great dessert for the occasion. The cupcakes were personalized with edible decorations incoporating her interests.
