Cherry blossoms are fondant brushed with rose color pearl dust. The branches are chocolate fondant. The bamboo is fondant painted with gel colors and vodka.

One of my clients has a 4 year old daughter who wanted a small cake to celebrate moving into their new home... her only requirement was that it was orange! Kids come up with some funny stuff...
These were ordered for a gal who had just had a baby boy. They are red velvet with chocolate buttercream and fondant accents.
I did this cake for a football BBQ my my family and I went to... I don't do a lot of buttercream work, so it was fun to play around with it!
Small cake for a couple who had their caterer provide cupcakes for dessert, but still wanted a cake to cut at the ceremony and an anniversary tier to save. The sea shells are made from fondant. I used a silicon mold to get the shapes and painted them with luster/pearl dust. The "thing" on the side of the cake is a fishing net... The bride found a picture of a large cake with that on it that she wanted me to mimic... I'm not sure how I like the net on such a small cake, but she was thrilled with it and that's all that matters! :-)

12" &10" cake covered/decorated with fondant. I made a 3D "50" out of fondant/gumpaste that stuck in the top, right in front of the bow... but I sent them with the costumer in a separate container. The party was the next day and she had to drive a long distance... So sad I didn't think to take a picture with the numbers on it...

Carved from a half sheet pan. Decorated with buttercream and fondant/gumpaste accents. This cake is special to me because it was for a gal that works for my husband... when she saw it, she cried... a very happy cry :-) I just love that!
This is a 12" & 10" round cake... the hat is made from the half ball pan. The top of the had is 50/50 gumpaste/fondant.

A cake I did for my husbands grandma's birthday... this was my first time in over a year making a buttercream rose.. I was disappointed by how the edges of them looked frayed... not sure what happened there, but I was the only one who noticed, so that's good!
This was my very first wedding cake! I was thankful that it was a simple design, but the size was intimidating. I had to travel over an hour away and stack the cake at the venue.... so scary, but it worked! It's a 14", 12", 10", 8", & 6" cake, covered in Satin Ice fondant with satin ribbon accents.

This was a birthday cake for a man who loves Formula One racing. The bottom cake is covered in MMF. The car was carved from a 8" square cake and covered in Satin Ice fondant. Got my inspiration from several cakes I saw here on CC!! Thanks for the ideas!

This is a small cake I made for my neighbor for Valentine's day. It's a two layer, 6" round chocolate cake with mint chocolate chip buttercream filling. Decorated in buttercream.
I made this cake for my MIL's birthday (on Valentine's Day!). The bottom is a 10" heart, two layer, torted chocolate fudge cake with whipped chocolate ganache filling. The top is a 6" heart, two layer, torted lemon cake with lemon curd filling. Iced in buttercream with fondant roses.
8"x 3" WASC, torted and filled with strawberry fluff (added chocolate chips). Decorated with buttercream and fondant baby & blanket. It was my first attempt at the fondant baby... I'm excited to try it again!
9 x 13 Chocolate WASC cake, filled with toffee crunch buttercream, iced in buttercream. I had a problem with the buttercream cracking when I moved the cake from my workspace to the table... and my numbers on the yardage markers didn't work out as well as I had hoped, but I was happy with the helmets :-)
