okay, I know you think I'm a doofus for putting food on top of a pillow cake! This was for my daughter's dinner party. she was serving various hors-douvres. The plate of goodies on top are all made of fondant.

My neighbor's birthday cake. he's quite a bass fisherman, and this bass has a hook in his mouth and a gummy worm for bait! this is my 6th cake! When I get to 10, I'm going to stop counting...! The fish is cake also. I was going to make a small round, but I found a casserole dish that looked like the shape I needed. It worked out perfectly. I cut the casserole dish cake in half on an angle, and put the two halves together.
I made this cake for my mother in law. she gave me this heart pan, so I thanked her by baking a cake! Cake #5!
I made this for my husband's birthday. this was my THIRD cake! He came home from work and said, "honey...I can make dinner tonight..." Curious as to his motives, I asked why. He said, "I figure if I cook, you can finish my birthday cake tonight." There you have it! so, 45 minutes later, I brought this cake into the living room to show it off, and he immediately asks for a knife! How appalling!! LOL!
this cake was for the opening of the coffee shop at our church. it is my fourth cake I've EVER done! it was fun! The top layer was baked in a very small mixing bowl and covered with fondant to look like a cup of latte. Everyone kept asking me, "what's in the cup?" LOL!
