Stefany's Shower
I loved doing this cake and got so much inspiration from all the other gown cakes here. I used the wonder mold for the gown and the bust is a dismembered doll pick covered in black fondant. It is on a ten inch round iced in buttercream. I cut each petal using a circle cutter and layered them placing a pearl at the top of each petal. Thanks for looking.

Pink Princess
I made this for my daughters birthday. She talked about having a pink princess cake for forever. I stayed up all night making it and she looked at it and asked why the doll didn't have a yellow dress and walked off! No more fancy cakes for her! I used the wonder mold on an 8 inch round for the doll and put them on a 10 inch round. I draped fondant for the dress and brushed the whole thing with luster dust to make it sparkle. Thanks for looking.

Army Birthday
This cake was a lot of fun to do. I got some great ideas from everyone especially using the dog tags for the names. The cake is 9x13 iced in buttercream. The boys and dog tags are gumpaste. I filled three bags with the camo colors and used a 10 tip to pipe the shapes, then I waited for it to crust and smoothed it with a Viva paper towel . It was so easy to do.Thanks for looking.

Ordination Cake
This cake didn't live up to my "vision" but I guess it still turned out okay. The cakes are 6,8,10,&12 inch covered in buttercream with stenciled scrolls. The chalice and lilies are gumpaste and the draperies are fondant. Next time I will definetly make the draperies thicker to match the size of the cake. I put this in First Communion but it was for a good friends ordination. TFL!

This is a ten inch cake with buttercream icing and MMF decorations. This was a last minute order that would normally have had time for but I was doing my little girls birthday cake to so I ran out of time. I was literally piping the name on as the guy was pulling inte driveway. Talk about stress!

Gown_Cake_1.jpg
I had a lot of inspiration from all of the other gown cakes so thanks. I used the wonder mold pan for the top and a ten inch for the bottom. I was very happy with the top cake but the bottom didn't turn out like I wanted. The brides colors were champagne and pink. I worked to get the champagne color and it was perfect in the bowl but when the buttercream crusted it darkened and turned more yellow. I also waited too late to do the bow and it wasn't how I planned it. I need to not put things off. Thanks.

This bride was having a very casual wedding at her home and wanted something bright and different for her cake. I think I gave her what she wasnted. The cake is made from a double layer six, eight and ten inch. It is iced in buttercream and the decorations are MMF. I had some problems with the m on top craking but I repaired it and got it on and luckily you couldn't tell. Next time I will make the topper thicker. Thanks.

Christopher's First Birthday
This was for my little boys first birthday. Thanks to everyone that gave me suggestions on the baby and to everyone that has done cakes like this that gave me inspiration. The cake is an eight and a ten inch iced in buttercream with fondant decorations. The baby dog and number 1 are all fondant too. My liitle boy has a stuffed dog that he sleeps with so I modified Aine2's tutorial to make the little dog. I was really happy with the way it turned out. Thanks again to everyone that made it possible!
