For my nieces 16th Birthday... she was holding a set of keys... First try at Fondant dress... pretty easy though need practice.
Thought of the Top Hat and thought it'd be easy. Well, easy it was.... though still very time consuming. The rim is a 12" Chocolate cake the Top part of the Hat is Chocolate and Yellow cake checkerboard. First attempt. It looked great when they cut it. The band is white fondant with black spray (new- don't like it) and silver flakes. Could have done better with the decorations, though time was short. Thanks for looking.
All frosting (except of course the cow/tractor candles and the fence/pigs toys).
Didn't know how the Fondant would work... the handle, well, drooped. Will try something different next time.
The saddle is fruit leather and the tail and main are licorice. Thanks for looking.
Oops, didn't mean to send the super close up..., tractor and tires are frosted (with yellow fondant accents).
Finally did it, was actually pretty easy though didn't plan on the hot day and the long drive (the small tire fell off (that's why it's icky) and a kiddie finger got to the big tire before the pic.. Thanks for looking, and to those of you who gave me 'tire' advice (4" pan and cupcakes" - Wilton Icing)
So easy and fun!! The last time I did ALLLLL of the little flower thingies and my hands were numb for a week. This time just picked at the frosting with a knife :) soo much easier, and actually turned out cute.
This was my very first attempt at a 3D cake. Made for my God Daughter, this was her favorite toy at the time...
This was made for my son's Pre-School Teacher's Appreciation week. Also, my first attempt with fondant... used it for the trim. Dirt was Crumbled Oreo Cookie Pie Crust over a thin layer of chocolate pudding. Hid a few wormies in there too :) Thanks for looking.
Made for my nephew's 5th Birthday, was told he couldn't have popcorn until he was 5, so he had a Popcorn Party (with Movie). Super easy and fun to make. 3 round cakes, BC frost and Carmel Popcorn for popcorn :). The kids just kept grabbing some as they walked by- we just added more. Thanks for looking.
