Sculpted from a 9x13x2 cake; iced in b 'cream. For a boy's b'day. Wheels are MoonPies and Oreos.
This is a copy out of "Modern Wedding Cakes; A design source" #20. I bought the magazine just because I loved this design immediately Fr Van cake w/lemon filling - 11" contour pan; strawberry cake - 6x2" round; stacked; Light coat of buttercream under the fondant. Hearts are molded of candy melts. They are heavy!! The fondant started out white. A mixture of antique silk; capachino; and pearl dust mixed w/vodka was airbrushed on to create a beautiful 'candlelight' color; then pink petal dust is brushed
Store bought cookies are put together w/buttercream icing for form these cute turkeys. The candy corn was used so I wouldn't eat any more of it! :) Each turkey consists of two 3" rounds and a marshmallow puff.
Even though I am posting this as a shower cake it was actually made as a wedding cake:) A small family celebration for a Monday wedding. The hearts are 10x2" layers, split & filled w/chocolate b'cream; then iced w/white b'cream. Flowers are royal dropflowers attached to heavy guage floral wires. Non edible dove & rings. This is my version of a cake in a Wilton yrbk. (1999?)
The tier sizes are 14, 10 & 6. This was set up on a boat that would cruise a local lake for a few hours. I hope it stayed together! The bride provided the fishbowls and everything in them (aquarium stuff like seashells, plastic plants & a fish (NO, I would NOT let her use real fish! as she wanted to) Shells are molded candy melts.
Just a quicky:) This was ordered on Friday afternoon for pickup on Sat a.m. It's a white cake w/chocolate b'cream filling; iced in b'cream. Piping done w/tip 3 & trims w/tip 1.
When a couple adopted an 8 month old, the ladies at church gave them a shower. I did everything very last minute just before the shower. The letters & booties are fondant - used cookie cutters. The back of the booties is coated w/white chocolate so they would stand upright (didn't have time for them to dry). They are dusted w/luster dusts.
A full sheet (22x15x2) w/a 2 layer small oval as the airplane. Color is airbrushed. Wings are fondant strengthened w/Tylose.
This is probably the 2nd largest cake I have made. The tiers are 16, 12, 12, 9, 7 and 5. Flowers are mostly commercial gumpaste; some I made. The topper is hand made - a gumpaste bowl filled w/styro and flowers glued to it.
Round tiers are 14, 10, 6, stacked; iced in b'cream. Callas were purchased, but I had to cover each stamen in blue fondant:)
The hand made daises are gumpaste. Cake is iced in b'cream; all piping is also b'cream. Tier sizes are 16, 12, 9, 6.
An 8"x4" round; iced in buttercream. Flowers are commercial gumpaste, airbrushed w/super peal dust. Of course this generic design could be used for many different occasions.
This is a kit. Because of copywrite restrictions it *MUST* be done *EXACTLY* as the directions given :( 1 and 1/2 quarter sheet cakes are used to create it. The stiring wheel, helment, and gauges are plastic. Color is airburshed. Chocolate/black used for borders.

This is a full sheet (22x15x2) iced w/b'cream. Flowers are all leftover from previous projects; some are royal, some fondant, some air-dried b'cream. "Rain" is piping gel.
The rounds are 12, 9 and 5; the Bible is an 11x15x2 sheet w/a 'v' cut out of the middle to form the Bible. Iced in buttercream. Artificial flowers provided by the bride - all 6 callas and 4 roses! I had to add more silk & b'cream piped roses and even a few gp callas for this to look even somewhat decent:(
An 11x15x2 cake was cut in half and stacked. Filling is 2 layers of pineapple and one of sliced, fresh bananas with the cake being strawberry. Iced w/buttercream; airbrushed. Everything on the cake is edible (foil-covered choco coins; fondant pearls etc) except for the lid and a couple of pearl strands.
All hand made red gumpaste roses; buttercream iced cake w/real ribbon trim.
Lots of lilies, baby's breath and other gp flowers. Center separations are styro cake dummies covered in aluminum foil. Tiers are 14, 12, 14, 8 & 5.
The couple married & had their reception river-side; they would depart the reception via boat so they picked this for their cake. The boat and couple are hand molded. Trees are choco transfer - uuggg very delicate! and shells are choco molded. Tiers are iced in buttercream. Unfortunately no matter how many times & ways I tried I could NOT get the man to sit up straight! :(
For girl's b'day. Baked in a 3-d car pan w/minor sculpting. Customer provided picture of b'day gal which I covered in plastic wrap & placed in the windshield as the driver.
Sheet with frosting sheet pix on gumpaste plaques; fondant molded pig. He was going to travel and play w/grandkids so that's what the pix show:) Size of cake is 24x16x2; it is iced in buttercream
When you have a shop you are asked to make many sheet cakes for many occasions. Here is one floral arrangement that can be used for any occasion. Based on Winblecker's designs. Iced in buttercream. Roses are air-dried b'cream w/some fondant flowers. Borders are from tip 87.
Fondant lace trims; hand made gp rattle. 11x15x2 sheet topped by a 10x10x4 sq. Fondant plunger flowers &, bow loops.
Frosting sheet pictures; fondant molded flowers; b'cream iced.
