For a birthday near Christmas this 11x15x2 sheet is completely iced & decorated with b'cream. Pine boughs are piped with tip 233. Poinsettias are made right on the cake with tip 350. Tip 18 makes the zigzag borders. The snowflakes were very appropriate as we had a snowfall that day:)
This 12x8x3 sheet was actually made for a funeral. I like to bring some pleasure to the family so I usually make something pretty to help brighten what is not a fun affair. The angle is chocolate molded, then brushed w/gold luster dust; flowers are fondant. Buttercream iced.

I made two b'day cakes for this man who's nickname is "Bugs". They were each 9x13 x2 sheets iced in Buttercream. The bugs are molded in a kid's mold set I found at a garage sale:) The ponds are piping gel. Grass base border. Butterflies are wafer paper and the ladybugs are commercially made sugar molded.
This one is 9x13x2; airbrushed; car is chocolate molded; street light is a commercially made sugar mold. Simple shell borders.

10x3 round base cake with 6"x6" rounds (three 2" layers) on top. Iced in buttercream; real ribbon; gumpaste roses. Placed on 16" & 12" round cake drums. This design was suggested by something I saw in "Wedding cakes: A design source" magazine from England.

Could this be the next "1st dog"? :) It's all edible down to the dragonfly he is nose to nose to:) - iced in buttercream. I used 2 Wonder mold (doll skirt pan) cakes (head & rump) and a mini, cut in 1/2 (rear haunches).
Lots of fondant animals some molded in candy molds; others cut w/cookie cutters. Palm trees are pretzel rods w/fondant & wafer paper leaves; Cake base & mini doll skirt hills covered in fondant then airbrushed. This was a *huge* cake. Consists of 3 12x16 sheets (2 end to end, then the other on the side; it measured about 36x24) When delivered I had to take it down into the basement via a very narrow stairway. We had to turn the board sideways to get it down:(
3 tires 14, 10, 6, iced in b'cream w/fondant trims. I made the bride topper. A mini doll skirt cake covered in fondant w/a doll pic. When asked if she knew what kind of cake she wanted, this bride said "the Taj Mahal(sp?)". This was our comprimise:)
Made for a cake walk. The pumpkins are cakes baked in mini doll skirt pan; covered in fondant. Cornstalk is an ice cream cone covered also covered in fondant. The cone is stuffed w/cake crumbs mixed w/buttercream & chocolate.
I donated 3 small cakes to a chariety - this was one. It's an 8x2" round; iced in b'cream. The fondant lace pieces were dusted in sparkle pearl dust. Borders from tip 84. Place on a red foil covered board.
An 8x4" round cake iced in b'cream. Diamonds & bow loops are fondant airbrushed teal. Simple star borders. A little more famine than I really wanted for a man's birthday:(
this 10x4" heart iced in buttercream w/frosting sheet pic on fondant is dusted w/sparkle dust.. Fondant molded floral swags, pearls & roses all dusted with pearl luster dust. Would make a great engagement, shower, 'will you marry me?', or anniversary idea.

Just a simple little (8x2) round cake iced with buttercream. The balloons are mounted on sucker sticks w/candy melts. They and the stripes are fondant.
