Student Teacher Cake
My daughter's teacher asked if I would make a cake for her student teacher's going away party they were having in class. Cake is covered in BC and MMF. All details are MMF, including the figure on top. The second graders loved the fact their student teacher was on the cake and wanted to eat her. : ) Fortunately, she was able to take the top tier home (with her mini version in one piece.) Thanks for looking.

Tea Time
Birthday cake for my daughter's 6th birthday. Shee had a tea party, so this cake was only fitting. Neapolitan cake with BC. Table cloth is fondant. A beaded heart doily was place on the fondant and lightly pressed to transfer the design. The china set matches the set they used for the tea party (fondant w/Luster dust.) Cake board also covered with fondant. Inspired by all of the beautiful tea party cakes on here. TFL!

Character Cake Entry
This is the cake I entered into our county fair for their character cake competition (first time entering). Cake form used (equal to a 1/4 sheet cake halved and stacked.) Head/foot boards and Curious George are gumpaste, all other details are fondant. Thanks for looking! The number of cake entries at our fair has really increased over the past few years. This year there were about 20 cakes (a guess) and everyone did a great job. Congrats to all who entered!

Fish Cookies
I made about 1 1/2 dozen of these and shipped them to my brother for his birthday. Last year I made him a Walleye cake, but decided to go with cookies this year since I wouldn't be in town. (Obviously he enjoys fishing.) Butter cookies with airbrushed mmf. Luster Dust added to the color to add shine (or sparkle, or whatever fish scales do.) :)

Shared Birthday
This cake was done for two 16 yo boys who shared a birthday. They are both football players, for different schools, which explains the border colors. The score board is royal icing. Half of the cake is Victoria sponge cake, torted and filled with Bavarian cream, the other is Darn good chocolate cake, torted and filled with buttercream. Thanks to CakeWhizz and Homemade-Goodies who helped me find, or offered a recipe for the sponge cake.

Dodge Ram 2500
This cake was for my friend's son who was graduating high school. He recently bought a Dodge Ram 2500 truck and it is his baby. She thought it would be nice to put a picture of his truck on a cake. I thought it may be more fun to make the cake into his truck. She had no objections! My husband built the stand to hold the body up, so unless you looked underneath, it looked like it was sitting on the wheels. Cake was carved and covered in fondant. All fondant details. He loved it, so I was :)
