Thank You Donna
Cake made for my art instructor for helping me soooo much with my grandchilren's portraits. This is a technique called "Black Canvas" Instead of a canvas I used a gumpaste plaque and instead of paint, I used food coloring. I need improvement as an artist, but, overall I'm pleased with the results. Thanks for looking!

Zack's Cupcake
Last year Zack told his mom that THIS year all he wanted was a cupcake for his birthday! SO, I made him THIS cupcake! It's belated because my husband was injured and I had to cancel on him for his actual birthday cake. So this will be a surprise tonight when we get to church! Hope he likes it! Thanks for looking!

John Deere Green
Did this for a friend's FIL. I was out of town on his birthday (have done his cakes for 3 years now) so, he asked his DIL if they would wait until I got back so "Miss Beth" could make his cake. THAT made me feel so special! The emblem is a chocolate transfer. The rest is b/c. Thanks for viewing!!

Gingerbread Village
This is Gingerbread Day 2006! Mason and Abby had a great time doing the village. So did I! This is the FIRST year that I actually baked and put together the gingerbread houses MYSELF! It was soooo much fun! Can't wait until next year! Little Cousin Jordan joins us in 2007. He will be 3 yrs old and that is "B's" 'Age of Gingerbread'!

Britain's Cookies
When my children were little we had "Cookie Painting Parties" at Christmas time. This week when my GRANDCHILDREN visited we revisited the tradition and invited all the cousins they hadn't yet even met! These are my grandson, Britain's, cookies. He said his were THE BEST!! PS I wish it wasn't "illegal" to post faces because all of them were covered with red and green icing! WHAT FUN WE HAD!!

Wedding Cake The Trilogy- Groom's Cake No. 2
Well, this cake traveled (uniced-undecorated) to Michigan; 7 hours from my home. I iced and decorated it onsite. It was dark chocolate, german chocolate and then I MIXED the dark and german chocolates for the top layer. Everyone seemed to enjoy it! Especially the groom and his family. It meant a lot to me that the couple asked me to do this for them. Even though I am STILL recovering! LOLL One more set of cakes in "The Trilogy" and then I'm Through until Jan. 2007!

Lazy Daisy Birthday
Last minute sheet cake for a customer. In fact, I had to do TWO cakes for the same lady. This one has glass votives that look like flower pots in each corner. Chocolate graham crackers in a food processor provide the dirt and since I was working the day she called I had to buy silk daisies. She really liked it!

Whimsical Reception Cake
This was done for our Youth Pastor and his fiance. At first I wanted to do a topsy turvy cake (but check out the practice cake I did in my gallery.....NO!) So, I decided to go with this. It really surprised them! In fact, I kinda surprised myself! LOL The cake was white chocolate with white chocolate buttercream icing. Decorations were candy clay.

Wedding Cakes The Trilogy- Wedding Cake No 1
The first wedding cake in "The Trilogy". Also my first square cake! Let's talk corners! Or maybe not! LOL The ornaments are real since here in KY the weather has not been conducive to blown sugar ornaments! For instance, the monogram was made 2 weeks ago and was STILL not dry! Oh well! The MOB loved it and I received soooo many compliments. It made me feel good. My hubby made the lighted stand for me. It is glass bricks with white lights threaded into them.
