Violin cake made for my Pastor's bday. Carved cake covered in fondant, part holding strings up is made of gumpaste and strings are silver thread. The board is a full sheet board covered in sheet music and then clear contact paper.
6,8,10 round cakes covered in satin ice fondant and hand painted. Gumpaste flowers on top. Design matched the invitations.

7" rounds (3 layers) carved into the shape of a King's Crown. The customer showed me a photo from cake girls but it was all fondant and she doesn't like fondant, so she wanted it done in buttercream. The gemstones are candy, and the red things on top are fondant, and the central thing that looks like a pond chess piece....well that's what it is lol. The rest is bc and it's airbrushed to emulate the wrinkles that were in the fondant...I thought it turned out horrendously but the customer was pleased!
6" square iced in buttercream with fondant bow and fondant accents. Top, make up bag is also cake iced in fondant. The customer wanted a present cake, with the chanel bag on top...gave me free reign over the rest of the design, said her daughter liked "bright" colors and wanted a "15" on it somewhere...she loved the cake!
6",9,12" round cakes with green fondant and choc. clay tree trunk, and gumpaste dogwoods (my first time making these flowers). TFL Oh the topper is a sheet of edible paper with a note jotted on it, the bride used to get notes from the groom and he always signed them with a heart, star, and diamond and she wanted that represented on the topper somehow. I had made chocolate heart, star, and diamond on stick to insert into top...but it was like 100 degrees and when I got the reception site it was a choc. puddle on a plate! So this was plan B...hopefuly she's not mad! : (

6", 8", 10" rounds iced in fondant (satin ice) with fondant accents. It was inspired by a pink cake box cake but I ended up adding the spirals and loops (their's had lollipops), loops, spirals, numbers are all gumpaste, other accents are fondant. I used my food dehydrator and everything was dry and hard in less than an hour ....LOVE that thing! TFL
6" and 8" round cakes iced in buttercream w/ gumpaste bow on top. The fabric hemmed off of her dress was used to cover the cake board (pleated satin), had a TOUGH time matching the gumpaste to that champagne color but came pretty close I think! TFL
Barbie cake made to look like an angel, covered in fondant with gumpaste wings and Barbie doll pick.
10" square cake iced in buttercream, mom was going for a "victorian style" with decor of baby's room and gave me free reign over the cake. Gumpaste flower with gumpaste baby in center. Texture on cake was done using a stencil and troweling (sp?) the icing onto the cake
6",9",12" cake iced all in buttercream with fresh flowers. Bride had no idea 2 days before wedding what she wanted, and she was going for "rustic" but "pretty" so she chose a textured icing.......she didn't want the lines perfectly straight and matched up which I had a really hard time with LOL. Probably one of my least favorite wedding cakes so far, maybe just not my style ?
Was given free range on a woman's 40th bday.......they wanted doom and gloom but not TOO DARK and not ALL BLACK............so I went with purple....they loved the cake. They teased that the swirls were to signify she was losing her mind LOL
6",9",12" cakes iced in white fondant with ribbon. I about fainted when bride said she wanted "NO DECORATIONS, JUST PLAIN WHITE FONDANT" wasn't sure I could pull it off, and still not sure if I did. She didn't call and complain at least lol TFL

Made for my neice's 1st bday...some family members in the pictures had passed away during that first year so this cake was extra special to everyone in attendance. Frame on top is gumpaste with edible image and a satin bow attached at corner w/ melted choc. TFL
