Rapunzel Tangled Cake
Birthday cake for a 4 year old. Tower is Rice Krispy Treats. 10" Round on the bottom is 4" high and the tower is about 15" from the base to the top of the spire. Cobble look are the duff plates from walmart. They wanted a Tangled cake. I told them what I could do. No faces, no copyrighted material. I am building a portfolio even though I am not a professional (yet!) I want every cake I do to be able to be made for a paying customer! :D Grandmother was nervous about not seeing her face. I said 'Fia will know! :D and she did! She LOVED it and I was told that the mom and her sister stood at the counter in the kitchen and totally tore into the RKT! heehee!!

Brown Pink And Green Swirl Wedding Cake
This actually was for a 10 year wedding renewal ceremony for my good friends. 4 tiers- vanilla almond with raspberry fill (2) and chocolate with cookies and cream fill (2). Green swirls with pink silk flowers and brown satin ribbon. Back corner (extra photo) shows their last name, their initials and each of their children's initials. The kids were so excited to find their initials on the cake! :D When I do a swirl cake I always put a message for the bride and groom hidden in the swirls at the back. It is fun! :D

Klompen Groom's Cake
Klompen Cake with cactus - Groom is Dutch (thus the shoe) and from Arizona (which explains the cactus!) Carved chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling. Cactus is also choc cake with vanilla buttercream with over 700 royal icing cactus spines! Should add that the board is 11x15 and the Klompen is about 6" or so at the top of the foot. I knew what I wanted and came to Cake Central for inspiration. THANK YOU! Found a great Klompen (by KORINE) and it gave me a great starting point! Plus LOTS of looking at Google images! LOL And lots of cacti which it seems most people thanks Collette Peters. So thank you to many cacti makers!

Blue And Gold Cub Scout Anniversary Dinner
I threw this cake together in 4 hours so the frosting is a bit sloppy! It was for the blue and gold dinner potluck celebrating 100 years of boy scouts. The top was the logo for the year. on one side is the motto. On another is the BSA Eagle logo. Another side "Do your Best". And the back has the words that a boy scout "is".

Red Showers For Baby!
The baby shower theme was red umbrellas and baby blue. So I hand cut a paisley shape (I don't have that pan yet). Covered in pale blue fondant. Gumpaste umbrella and teddy bear. Umbrella formed over a ball pan (DD pan). I made snakes of gumpaste and adhered those on top of the ball then covered it with saran wrap. then laid the circle of gumpaste on top and used a round cutter to cut out the circle between the ribs. Then I covered a skewer with white for the handle. teddy bear was made ahead of time in pieces and assembled the day of cause cake had to travel 3.5 hours (over the grapevine) and I didn't want to assemble and turn over the fragile umbrella ahead of time!

Buttons And Bows With Button Cookies
2-Tier cake with BC frosting and fondant bows and buttons. Coordinating cookies are sugar cookies covered in fondant. Funny story..... My 7 year old DD attended the shower with me and a friend asked her if she could believe the buttons were made of frosting.... My DD just looked at her and then looked at me. My friend goes "really they are". I said.... "she just knows they are made of fondant and wonders if you know that or if you really think they are frosting." It was so funny! She didn't want to be rude and correct her but she didn't know what to say! LOL

The accessories are all fondant. Cloth diapers, rattle, pacifier, blanket and safety pins. Blanket edge dusted to look like satin binding.

Button Diaper Bag Cake With Bottle
Much inspiration taken from numerous cakes on here! If you made one I probably looked at it! THANKS for posting it! Carved cake covered in fondant. Buttons were a design idea added at the last minute cause I waited too late to "stitch" in he baby's name and the fondant cracked! I had been wanting to do one of these forever and finally got my chance. The morning of the shower I found out that it was canceled!! The cake was a gift and I cried knowing mommy would never see it! They rescheduled for the next week and used the cake as DECOR!!!! But at least everyone got tooooh and ahhh even if the didn't get to taste my "Inside-Out Peppermint Patty Cake"

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes
Teal is BC, 7 inch round cake, brown is chocolate satin ice mixed with some white toba's to lighten it. Shoe is made with gumpaste (Nic. Lodge recipe) - hand molded heel, cutter sole from Global Sugar Art, and completely hand cut upper. I didn't make a pattern I just pieced it as I went. You can see the shoe my SIL gave me to match! NO MORE PUMPS for me! This was hard! Dry dusted with copper and bronze. Inside painted with bronze and cut with scrapbook scissors. I also cut the tag with them.

Cara's World
Birthday cake for my DD 2nd birthday. Based on an Elmo's World theme. I wanted to do something that I could do for a client. I looked everywhere for a small inexpensive toy but no luck!! I found this adorable card though so I covered the bottom edges with press and seal so it wouldn't get ruined and stuck it on top! 9x13 cut in half and stacked. all BC frosted.

Sleepy Baby Topsy
Thanks to Bkeith for the article on how to do these! Colors came from a napkin the party planner gave me. I used the PME cutter plunger for the gerbera daisy and followed the tutorial on gefjonsdottir . com (no spaces) Except I used a wilton daisy cutter for the center frilly part. I messed up on her face but didn't want to redo the hair and bonnet (which I loved) so I made do. Next time I am doing the stupid eyes first!
