I bought a 25lb bucket of buttercreme icing from Sams Club this weekend and I need some help. 
Do I need to whip it, can I add flavoring to it, use it for flowers borders, etc.? I have never used this and I learned about it here at CC. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I've never use it, but I'm sure you can add flavoring to it. Is is runny or something where you need to whip it?? If not, don't think you would need to whip it unless you really wanted to. Like I said, I've never used it before, bubt I'm sure youcan at least add flavoring to it.

We use that at work here and we use it all the time for borders and flowers and such. Sometimes though, the consistency of the icing does vary from stiff to soft and anywhere in between. It colors well but doesn't crust very well at all. If you flavor it, I would use the Lorann's oils. That way you keep the consistency of the frosting by not adding a lot of liquid to it. You also can get the precolored tubs (at least I think you can). We don't whip ours either we use it straight from the bucket as is.
Is that icing good? I want to try it. What section in Sam's Club is this icing located?
I bought one bucket and wasn't really crazy about it, but I'm still using what's left in that bucket. Some people really like it, but I wasn't crazy about it. One thing though....it is super convenient!!! Just scoop some out and start coloring and decorating...can't beat that! I don't whip it or anything, just stir a little with a big spoon before I scoop some out.

I have had no problem when I purchase and use this item.
I have colored it and used it with no problem.
I have not flavored this item.
I have had no problem with it crusting.
When I called to see if they sold it I called the bakery and they asked if I wanted white or colored so I am guessing they also sell the colored.
Just go to the bakery and ask for the 28 pound buckets of icing and they will sell it to you.Also hubby told me to keep the bucket clean it out and when i feel like it make some icing and refill it so that way I can freeze a large amount and use what I need and its a great storage container if you have bought it you know how hard it is to get open lol.
