This the recipe that I use for the Red Velvet Cake and I love it, you can always use just vanilla or just butter extract
Cream cheese frosting
Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon of butter extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup High Ratio shortening
- 1 cup melted marshmallows
- 1 (1-pound) confectioners’ sugar
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Blend cream cheese and shortening together in a mixing bowl. Add extracts marshmallows and sugar and blend. Fold in coconut and nuts. Spread between layers and on top and sides of cooled cake.
