Mexican Vanilla Kaluaha-Small Recipe

I came up with this twist on a vanilla cake that has everyone asking for more. I have yet to have any leftovers and this is my most ordered flavor from my customers. And the best part … its EASY!!

For a filling I add a bit of cinnamon and a little kaluaha to buttercream and it rounds out the flavors more so. Oh nooo… now Im getting another craving.. Time to bake!!

Mexican Vanilla Kaluaha-Small Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker French Vanilla
  • 2/3 cup whole eggs (approx 3)
  • 2/3 pound sour cream (10 oz or 1-1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup Wesson oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Kahalua (coffee liquor)

Instructions

  1. Add cake mix and cinnamon and mix together. Add eggs, sour cream, oil and vanilla. Start slow then turn up the speed and mix thoroughly for about 2 minutes.
  2. Add in Kahalua and stir just until blended well but DO NOT OVERBEAT.
  3. Remove from mixer fill pans 3/4 full and bake at 325 until done.

    If it tastes great it doesn’t matter does it now?

This recipe is amazing!!! You do have to watch it in the oven though, because if it's over-cooked it can get very dry very fast. But when it's right, wow...I also like to put a little Kahlua and cinnamon in the buttercream...incredible!!!
