This recipe tastes very good and will stay stiff for a couple of days if not in the heat. It’s great on cupcakes because it’s not too sweet to do the swirl.
I used strawberry cream cheese and filled my cupcakes with pureed strawberry pie filling.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fruit flavored cream cheese
- 2 cups whipping Cream
- 2 tbsp. vanilla instant pudding
- 3 tbsp icing sugar
Instructions
-
Whip cream cheese until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and whip until cream is stiff.
Spread on cake or swirl on cupcakes. Refrigerate until serving.
My question is: What on earth is icing sugar? do you mean Confectioner's Sugar?...Please Help I really do wanna try making this...Thank you =) & thank you for sharing this recipe too =)
Rubycandy i think is powder sugar... I JUST TRIED IT TODAY AND IS DELICIOUS, SO CREAMY, thank u for the recipe... :)
Will this hold up for a cake filling? Sounds delish!
Yes, confectioners sugar is icing sugar. It's pretty soft for a filling, much like whipped cream.
I used banana pudding instead of flavored cream cheese. It was a little on the salty side. So I added three more table spoon of sugar and one more tea spoon of pudding. It tasted great and fluffy and just sweet enough. I guess I will be experimenting with other flavors of pudding:)
Pinar - did you use pre-made pudding?
I did use instant pudding. It really tasted good.
