Ingredients
- 14 slices of bread (I used gardenia white loaf)
- 5 large fresh eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4-1/2 cup thick cream (optional)
- Cinnamon (adjust according to taste)
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar and a little more for sprinking before serving
- Butter (for frying)
- Nutella
Instructions
-
Method:
Whisk eggs, milk, cream, cinnamon and sugar in a wide bowl.
Spread Nutella on one side of each slice of bread. Put two slices together to make a sandwich with the Nutella on the inside of the sandwich.
Put butter on a frying pan and heat.
Dip the sandwiches one at a time into the egg and milk mixture for about 10 seconds on each side.
When butter is sizzling you can start frying your egg soaked sandwiches about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Remove from frying pan and cut in half, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with syrup or fresh fruit.
Makes 7 servings
