buy a plastic doyle and print the fondant with it, and make the holes with a decorating tip

ya i thought about using decorator tips for the holes, just wanted to make sure it was even and not crummy looking.... pressing it with a piece of lace is a good idea. i also found this but kinda pricey! http://www.globalsugarart.com/product.php?id=26128&name=Confectioners%20Lace%20Mat%20&%20Instructional%20DVD%20by%20Sugarveil

Hi,
Did you ever figure out how to make that lace doily for the cake? I have a request for the gray one this sept. I contacted the actual cake designer. No word yet.

Any help you could provide would be great!
Thanks!
