This was inspired by Colette Peters Christmas Cake pictured on the cover of American Cake Decorating Nov/Dec 1995 issue. This cake is the Wilton petal pan. The cakes rest on a fondant covered board and I used gumpaste poinsettie ribbon flowers with bow loops. Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas!
This cake is beautiful ! Very crisp and neat looking... Happy Belated Holidays !
How pretty!! Looks so good!
One simple word! WONDERFUL
THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE MOST ELEGANT CHRISTMAS CAKES I HAVE SEEN YET. NEAT AND SIMPLE ...SOMETIMES LESS IS MORE AND YOU DID A WONDERFUL JOB.
Beautiful! I love it. Simple and elegant is the perfect words for this cake. Kudos to you!
How did you manage to make such a beautiful job on the rope, so perfect. Can you share your secret? It's the most beautiful Xmas cake I've seen.
Do not look too close at the rope. It did dry out a little. I rolled it with my hands, then used my fondamt smoother to leavel out the diameter. Then carefully twisted the two colors. Now I wonder if the Wilton cookie press disk has a size diameter that would work?
It is simple yet elegant...the best type of cake...decorated Simple yet exudes elegance. Great Job!
I have that issue of american Cake Decorating and always admired that cake, and now I admire yours, it's absolutely beautiful and elegant.
This is STUNNING! Maybe by this next Christmas I'll have gained enough skill to pull off something this beautiful!
What a beautiful job you did!! Your ropes look wonderful. Is that red and white piping or fondant around the outer edge of the board??? Will you share how you did that part??
The red and white with the beads are Christmas Ribbon. Thanks for giving me the credit!
Very pretty

This Cake is very, very beautiful!!
Did you pipe the lettering, or do you have some type fondant cut out?
Wow!! This Cake Is Soooooooo Beautiful!!! You did a Great job!! it's going to my Favorites!!!
The lettering is a Tap It set from FMM they have script and block lettering. Global Sugar Art carries this product. If you roll the fondant out in about a 4 or 5 and let it set a little it is easier to tap the fondant out of the cutter. It is worth the investment to have this lettering. Thaks for asking.
This is soo beautiful!
stunning
