Jaime's Bridal Shower--Bridal Shoe Cake
10" round covered with buttercream and fondant, lightly dusted with pearl dust. The shoe was made using the pattern linked to the tutorial on this website--I didn't even have to resize the pattern. The fondant on the toe of the shoe and the cake plate were textured with Rosa's roller (the one from Earlene's website). This is not my best work because the fondant gave me fits today, but Jaime and the girls at church loved it, so that makes me feel alright about the cake.
This is a great cake! I haven't tried the shoe yet, is it hard?
No, I thought it would be hard, but it really wasn't. The most difficult part was sculpting the heel for the shoe and picking out the overall design for the shoe.
