Barn Cake
This was a tough one. Used boxed cake which was way too soft to stand up on the dowels which poked through the barn and needed to be "covered" with icing. The animals are all royal icing, which was fun, but I can see from others on this site that fondant would have been much cuter.
Good job alanahodgson! I have never had much luck using royal icing for anything other than items that lay flat. Nice job on your animals! :D

Adorable! Looks like you covered your dowel problem well - can't even tell! Your animals are so cute! Unless they were going to be eaten, I wouldn't worry about doing them in fondant.
