Pastillage Koi Fish

Base and center support is wood all other pieces (171 pieces!) are pastillage. The was in the 2007 San Diego Cakes on Parade Show and Competition.

actually no, I didn't place. I don't think the judges knew what they were looking at. I guess they were unfamiliar with pastillage. this was not easy to do, I don't think I'll be doing anything like this anytime soon.

I can't believe this didn't win. Obviously, they haven't worked with pastillage, as they would have KNOWN how much work is involved in something like this! I have to say, this is the most difficult figurine I have ever seen! You amaze me!!!!!!
