Orchid Drape Wedding Cake
Ok, here it is. Base cake is a dark chocolate hazelnut mud, with Frangelico ganache. The two top tiers are three layers of white chocolate coconut mud, 2 layers of caramel mud, all joined together with a caramel ganache. All cakes covered with a buttercream crumb coat, and then a mix of Orchard and FondX fondant colored with Americolors Ivory. I mixed the fondant cause i thought i was going to run out. The orchids are gumpaste. I went to the Wedding today & im very happy to say, the couple loved their cake
Wow! That cake is beautiful!! I don't see how the wedding couple could be anything but thrilled. The orchids are so delicate and perfect. I also love how you accentuated the quilting with the silver dots. Are those dragees or something else? What a fabulous cake. I have a wedding coming up tomorrow, and I am going to be adding orchids to the cake as well. I just love your design, the way they are cascading down the cake, as well as, the drape of fondant....beautiful, no doubt the newlyweds loved the cake.....
