Hunting Theme Birthday Cake
This was a spice cake with BCT of elk that I got from a coloring book web page, the trees were freehand. I wanted to do camo on the side and was planning on smoothing it after it crusted but my husband gave a guy's perspective and said the texture was good for camo. I'm still not sure if I agree. My friend loved the cake though!

The cake looks great. The camo looks good, too. I agree with your husband. We are so used to working really hard to make everything look perfect and smooth but sometimes the theme of the cake calls for a different look.
