Brownie/junior Bridging Cake

I volunteered to make a cake for my daughter's bridging. I'm not too bright...I made a wedding cake for the day before. Anyway, this is half chocolate/half vanilla iced in buttercream, with fondant emblems, painted with luster dust and brown food color paste. By the time it came to write, my hands were shaking and it looks like it. Plus, the green basketweave isn't my best work. In my defense, I (again, not too bright) was decorating this in a travel container that had a pretty deep lip on it.
Wow! I was a GS leader for 7 years and never was one of our celebration cakes so cool. You did an amazing job. Congrats to your daughter and her friends.
What a great design for a bridging. Great job!
I agree with kellieRSM. I'm a Daisy Scout Leader and would be honored to display this cake. Looks wonderful. Congratulations Troop #8083!
This is just wonderful! I saw your request for ideas thread, wow you did a fantastic job.
This cake is great. Exactly what I am looking for. My troop will be bridging at the end of the year. Thanks for the Idea! How did you do the emblems? I know it says fondant but did you have a mold?
Great cake! I wish I'd thought og something like this when I did the cakes for my dd's bridging.
The fondant emblems are great! I've been saving this picture for a long time so I could use it for inspiration. Later this weekend I'm going to send my last minute version of what I put together.
I'm doing a bridging cake soon, thanks for the inspiration.
I ended up doing a gold emblem on a cake for my daughter's Junior/Cadette bridging ceremony. Everyone loved it.
How did you make/mold the fondant emblems?? I have to do a bridging cake for Thursday, June 14. My daughter is bridging from Daisies to Brownies. If you want to send me an e-mail, my address is haybeth2819@yahoo.com
What a great idea for the bridging ceremony! Well done!
