This cake was probably one of the most difficult cakes we have done!! It took 9 hours to complete and it only served approx 30 people. I do love it and it is by far my favorite cake we have done this far. Hope every one likes it.
Thanks so much for the great feed back We just air brushed him it all. If I remember correctly we were down to the wire on this cake and the paint may still have been wet. However his nose was painted with black luster dust so it looked wet thanks again.
this is amazing!!! the detail is incredible....this cake is flawless!!!! Oh and Cookie4.....I think airbrushing on fondant makes it shiny.....every cake I have airbrushed that was fondant stayed pretty shiny when it dried!!
We just used a yellow cake mix but we should have used something like a pound cake. We just di the very basic design by carving the cake the details like the wrinkles in the fave were pieces of fondant rolled out and placed on the cake then covered in MMF. I'm not sre it thats the "correct" way of doing things but it worked. :D
Well, it's my turn to do a bulldog-Georgia, I am looking forward to it. So glad you posted yours. It gives me great inspiration!!! UGA will be sitting up. I think I will build a "ribcage" to start with. Any thoughts? Also, which airbrush did you choose and do you like it?
That is to cool! I have a brother who graduated from UGA and would love this cake. Would you mind sharing how you made this? Waht cake pans didi you use? etc... Thanks so much. [email protected]
