This is a 3-tier 1st birthday Sesame Street cake I made for my son. I got the fondant characters and letters from someone on Etsy, and I made the cake myself. The bottom and top tiers were chocolate and the middle tier is vanilla. I used indydeb's icing recipe, and it stood up pretty well. It did get a little slick towards the end, but I made this cake for a party in the park in the middle of summer when the temps were above 90 degrees. I stacked it with the SPS stacking system from Bakingshop.com. It was very easy to use and put together and take apart, with the exception of cutting the thick dowels to the right length.
