This was a cake for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday for which she dressed up as Curious George. The cake is constructed from, in order from the bottom up, two layers of Kentucky Butter Cake, two layers of French Vanilla Cake, one layer of Devil's food cake, one layer of Decadent chocolate cake. The "hat" is made of cereal treats and rests on a fondant and sanding sugar covered cake circle. The entire cake was hand piped in colored buttercream with fondant details, candies and dragees. The palm trees and other details were fondant.
