I was able let my creativity loose on this cake! It was made for a friends daughters first birthday. All her party goods were centered around a jungle theme so I took the animals from the decorations and incorporated them into the cake. Mom's only other request was to have a "girly" monkey flying an airplane on top that matched a mural in her daughter's room. All the animals and decorations were created with fondant. The cake is a traditional yellow cake with vanilla buttercream icing.
