The couple had their 50th anniversary six months ago, but they're just celebrating with the whole family now, so their son wanted it to say 50 1/2, which I think is pretty funny. It's a delicious cake: white almond sour cream cake with mocha filling, chocolate buttercream, decorated with gold dragees and gold luster dusted gumpaste pieces.
