This cake was for a birthday boy who loves hockey, and is all covered in fondant. I sprinkles some large sugar crystals to give it the ice look, and the skates are rice crispy treat covered in fondant. The laces are butter cream, as well as the pulled dots on the edges of the circles. I also brushed some pearl dust on the skate blades to make it shine like metal.
