this "peeking out of the cake" design was a special request. So, luckily, I was able to draw inspiration from someone's cake here on CC (sorry, I don't have your name saved). Everything is edible except Mickey's Ears. Mickey's ears are made of cardboard and then covered in fondant. I used lollipop sticks stuck up inside the cardboard to attach the ears. The head is one half of a sports ball pan, covered in fondant. The entire Mickey part is fondant and everything on the 1/4 sheet cake part is buttercream. This was for a woman's 58th birthday
