Seashell
I did my best to lighten the photos, but this is the only one to lighten enough. The reception site was ALL picture windows & the front of the cake was heavily shadowed. The top was carrot, the middle chocolate, and the bottom vanilla. All covered in off-white buttercream. I wish I had gotten a better pic of the seashells as I was really proud of them. lol The where white & off-white with gold luster highlights.
Any crtiques or comments are welcome! I was unhappy that the bottom just would not smooth for the life of me.
I think the cake is beautiful!! Did you try the paper towel trick?? It seems to really work!
It looks great BellaRosa and you should be very proud of your cake !! I love all the variety of flavors you did .. great job!
very beautiful cake, i love it.
Wonderful cake!!
What a unique idea for a cake!! Very beautiful!!
It looks perfect just as it is....lovely!
Beautiful!
ty everyone! I used viva paper towels for the first time on this one. I was happy with the top two, but I accidently layed my hand down as I placed the topper! lol The bottom would not crust over so the paper towel kept sticking. I am still learning & haven't heard anything negative back from the family. whew
I have a friend who wants shells and sand for her wedding cake. Did you make the shells with white chocolate using a chocolate mold? What did you use for sand, brown sugar?
Yes, I used the molds you can get at Hobby Lobby with white chocolate & luster dust & then brown sugar for the sand.
