This was a birthday cake for a friend who lived in Hawaii for a long-time and still does hula. The cake is iced in buttercream with piping gel water, graham cracker sand, and palm trees made of fondant and pretzel sticks. Having made this once, there are things I would do differently the next time for the palm trees
