Sunflower Cake

Sunflower Cake on Cake Central

This is the second wedding cake I've done. the bride had to have sunflowers, and not silk ones. If any one has any pointers I'd love to hear them, as I know its not perfect.

i used a daisy/sunflower cutter. I cut them out of fondant. Then i painted them with luster dust, yellow first, let dry, then added some red accents...thanks for the comments

I've seen sunflowers done in royal icing, using a leaf tip for the petals and a star tip for the center, but honestly, I can't say that they come out looking that much better than yours anyway! The cake is lovely!
