Hi all, thanks for the comments. I used a sheet pan for the body, cut in half, the top part is a 4 inch round pan. Covered it in fondant and painted on the camo with powder colour/alcohol mix. For the tread i simply took the back of a chopstick and made indentations in a do one skip one pattern along one side then the opposite way on the other side. I did the tread after putting the fondant strips onto the cake. The gun is simply a wooden dowel rolled in gumpaste, the cannon balls and "lid" are fondant...
