AC Moore and Michael's only have a few standard sizes. I have my first order this weekend and it is a 12" round 4 " high and I can't find a box Even a local supermarket said they don't make cakes that big. I guess I shouldn't have waited so long but I didnt' think it would be a problem. Where do you get yours from, do I still have time??? What if I can't find a big enough box

I buy mine through a mom & pop cake decorating store - check your phone book and see if there happen to be any in your area. The other thing you might try is moving supply company or food service supplier. I know some people order on line through papermart but my local place is just as competitive in price and I don't have to purchase huge volumes. Good luck!

If there is a Sam's Club in your area you will find a large assortment of boxes sold individually and by the case.

I buy my boxes at papermart and restockit but you have to buy in volumes of 50 or 100. I have in the past used a new brown shipping box to accomodate a large cake. Works great!

I have a Costco near me. They sell boxes in bulk or do you mean to ask the bakery section if I can buy one?
Great idea on the moving/packing boxes too. It won't look fancy but sure serves the purpose!
I just realized too that I am taking Toba's cookie class in NYC on Thursday so I am looking into cake supply places there too
Thanks everyone
