I prefer Americolor for the dark colors, but I mostly use Wilton.

To be honest, when I need veeery deep and bright colors, I use powdered food colors diluted with a few drops of vodka. A little goes a long way. Bright colors are always a fuss! If I can afford it, I'll use pre colored ones!

Like ReginaCoeli, I buy pre-colored fondant for dark colors, but I do color my gum paste myself.
