Happy summer all! Well... Minus the covid-19 thing! :-{

I love, love, love ermine frosting mainly for the fact that you don't have to use all confectionery sugar (or Crisco) for that sickening sweet frosting! Yuk! But what I'm wondering is, Does anyone have a really good frosting recipe(s) that aren't sickening sweet or made with Crisco that will hold at least fairly well in warm weather?

Thanks for any help! B-)

No, Crisco is key.

Darn! I was afraid of that! I can't stand Crisco! :-P I guess I was hoping more for a miracle! Thank you anyway, SandraSmiley!

I hate it too, bellamart and rarely use it, but have found that if you whip it really thoroughly before adding the sugar, it does get a lot lighter and more fluffy.  I also use a generous amount of butter flavoring and other flavors, which also helps.
