Making macaroons, what's a good substitute for caster sugar?

If I remember right it’s what is called granulated sugar in the USA   I don’t think there will be a substitute

I get caster sugar at our local fresh market store. I have also bought the extra fine sugar by dominos in our commissary. I prefer the fine sugar for whipped cream etc.

Caster Sugar is the same as Granulated Sugar, except it is more finely ground.  When I have a recipe, including macarons, I put my sugar (granulated) in the food process for a couple of minutes to break it down.  Works perfectly.
