Hi all,

I'm making my own wedding cake for my wedding in 2 weeks time and have bought some lovely artifical roses. The heads of the roses are attached to a wire, and covering the wire is the plastic stem.  These are what I have:

My question is, what is the best way of attaching the flowers to the cake? e.g. Do I simply cut the wire and stems to a shortish length and poke them into the cake?

The green plastic stem does slide off of the wire, but I found that the remaining wire is a bit rusty. I did wonder if I could then just wrap the wire in floral tape?

I have tried to google videos on this but nothing really comes up.

Thanks in advance !
