Hi, I made beautiful beach sugar cookies which are iced with royal icing. I need to put shells which I made from FONDANT and then put on the cookie. I have three questions which I hope someone can help me with.
One is how do I apply the fondant shell to the cookie without it falling off?
Two: I know I can freeze the iced sugar cookie with no problem, but not sure if the fondant pieces can be frozen on the cookie without it getting funny when defrosted. So I am thinking of making the fondant shells, freezing them, then applying to the cookie or can I just put the fondant shell directly on cookie, THEN freeze?
Three: Does anyone know if I can freeze the cookie all finished, or should I apply the sea shells the day before the party after the cookies are defrosted?
Thank you for your help.

you really need to test it in your freezer -- I would attach them with a dab of melted chocolate -- put a completed cookie in there and see how it does after it thaws --
and another thought about freezing -- ideally you want a freezer that has to be defrosted -- because the other kind warm up and cool off more -- but it depends on the weather and your freezer and what else is in there and how you package them --
but you don't even need to freeze the shells at all if you don't want to -- you can store them at room temperature

You can finish the cookies and put them in the freezer, with the fondant shells on. If you have a box big enough, place them in the box, I usually lay them down, but I have stacked them standing as well. Layer parchment paper between each row. Defrost in the box. You can use a dab of royal icing or melted chocolate to attach the shells. Why do you want to freeze them, though?
