Hey, I am a beginner in baking and I have baked a cake somewhat like 4 or 5 times in my entire life. And trust me all those cakes have been disastrous but my main problem is that the cake is raw, gooey and gross in the middle when the upper and side edges are perfectly cooked and by the time the middle gets cooked the upper layer gets burnt.
Please help me as it's my mother's birthday coming and I really wanna bake a cake for her :)

It sounds as though you are baking at too high a temperature or are using dark colored pans. The darker, non-stick pans are notorious for overcooking the outside of the cake. Try baking you cakes at 325 degrees F. It will also help to use baking strips around you pans and to use baking nails/cores in the middle. You can make baking strips by folding an old towel to fit and soaking it with water. Wring it out so it is not dripping and pin it around the outside of your pans. Wilton makes an inexpensive set, but some people even use folded newspaper. A baking nail looks just like a flower nail (used for piping flowers), in fact, if you have one it will work fine. If the top starts to brown too quickly, lay (lightly) a piece of aluminum foil over the top.
Hope this helps. Best of luck to you.
